How can an enterprise desktop application's search and communication features be optimized to effectively collect customer feedback, providing valuable user insights for the product team ahead of a new product launch?
Introduction
I was tasked with developing a data visualization tool that aggregates and visualizes customer feedback data for a studio project, providing a product team with a comprehensive overview of user sentiments and preferences.
Conducted comprehensive market research to create detailed personas, user stories, and flowcharts as part of the preliminary research phase, ensuring the design aligned with user needs and expectations.
Designed mid-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and organized UI elements like icons, buttons, and typography styles for a cohesive user interface.
Developed an AI-driven feedback analytics dashboard to efficiently visualize and identify customer feedback trends.

I conducted market research on existing B2B and B2C dashboard’s and CRM’s to find industry standard designs for user insight + data visualization features.
I crafted a clear user story and flow chart to guide the design process. These deliverables ensured that user needs were clearly defined and seamlessly integrated into the dashboard’s workflow. My user story ultimately helped drive my flow chart and simplified what used to be something complex and redundant.
After creating the first version of my flow chart, I ran into an issue where I had a system that was overly complex for the scope of the project. To work through this I spoke with my professor who gave me critical feedback which helped me reframe the goal of my user and reduce the number of steps in my flow chart from 14 to 5.

By taking a holistic approach to problem-solving, we addressed the challenge of integrating AI feedback within the dashboard and reducing the complexity of scope while testing design choices without external user testing. This comprehensive view allowed us to balance accessibility and unobtrusiveness of the AI tool while ensuring efficient design validation through internal feedback and rapid prototyping.
